The 46th Annual General Meeting of The Bar Association of Guyana was held today, 30th May 2025, via Zoom Online Platform.
As part of the proceedings, the Bar Council for the 2025-2026 fiscal year was elected.
Mr. Kamal Ramkarran, was re-elected, unopposed, as President.
Mr. Teni Housty and Mr. Arudranauth Gossai, were elected, unopposed as Vice Presidents.
Ms. Yashmini Singh was also re-elected, unopposed, as Secretary of the Association for a second term. Mr. Chevy Devonish was elected, unopposed, as the new Assistant Secretary.
Ms. Gabriel Benn who served during the last term as Assistant Secretary, was elected, unopposed, to the post of Treasurer.
The other members also elected unopposed to the Bar Council as Council Members are Mr. Robin Stoby, SC, Mr. Keoma D. Griffith, Mr. Horatio Edmondson, Mr. Pratesh Satram, Ms. Rea Harris and Ms. Mohanie Anganoo.
Mr. Kashir A. Khan served as the Returning Officer.
